Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy (Berlin, Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of an international renewable energy developer’s pipeline across Germany. The role will focus on utility‑scale solar, onshore wind and battery energy storage projects, working in a hybrid Berlin‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new onshore wind, solar and BESS opportunities in line with regional growth targets.
• Evaluate project concepts from technical, commercial and financial perspectives.
• Support feasibility studies, provide engineering input and coordinate environmental assessments.
• Manage relationships with municipalities, landowners, co‑developers and consultants.
• Assess greenfield, co‑development and M&A opportunities and assist with due‑diligence.
• Represent the business at industry events to strengthen market presence in Germany.
• Contribute to broader business development and project activities as needed.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong understanding of project development processes in Germany.
• Ability to assess opportunities from commercial, technical and financial angles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel across Germany.
