Business Recruiter (Germany)

About the role

Whatnot is hiring its first Business Recruiter in Germany to lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition for a variety of GTM, Marketing, Communications, Policy and other teams. The role will be fully remote and will help build the founding team in the region while shaping the hiring blueprint for future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to provide consultative recruiting guidance and align talent strategy with business goals.
• Source, screen, interview and close candidates across a wide range of roles and seniority levels.
• Manage multiple recruitment pipelines simultaneously, ensuring timely progress for each open position.
• Develop and refine job postings, hiring plans and screening rubrics in collaboration with hiring managers.
• Iterate on candidate feedback to continuously improve the recruiting process.
• Mentor peers, share best practices and foster a culture of recruiting excellence.
• Design scalable recruiting workflows and standardised processes to support rapid company growth.
• Promote diversity and inclusive hiring by employing traditional and creative sourcing methods.

Required profile

• Strong consultative approach with the ability to influence hiring decisions.
• Experience managing full‑cycle recruitment for multiple roles concurrently.
• Proven ability to develop clear job descriptions, hiring plans and evaluation rubrics.
• Track record of improving recruiting processes based on feedback and data.
• Passion for mentoring and building high‑performing recruiting teams.
