Cybersecurity Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join the global Cybersecurity function of an international organization in Munich. The role will design and govern enterprise‑wide security architectures that protect cloud platforms, applications, infrastructure and digital assets across complex, multi‑national environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design enterprise‑wide cybersecurity architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Define security standards, reference architectures and technical governance.
• Develop secure cloud architectures across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead architecture reviews for cloud migrations, digital transformation initiatives and enterprise applications.
• Implement Zero Trust security models in hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.
• Design Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
• Conduct threat modelling, security risk assessments and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and DevOps teams to embed security by design.
• Support regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR, industry‑specific frameworks).
• Define security roadmaps, evaluate emerging technologies and provide technical leadership during incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering or security architecture.
• Proven experience designing enterprise security architectures in complex international environments.
• Fluent German (C1/C2) and English (C2).
