Cybersecurity Engineer – Product Security for Autonomous Systems

About the role

Omnisent is developing an autonomous Counter‑UAS system called OmniDome. We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to protect the sensors, communication links and software from adversaries attempting to jam, spoof, hack or disable the system in the field. This role focuses on product security rather than internal IT compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security measures across hardware, firmware and software.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on OmniDome systems.
• Implement secure boot, encryption and authentication mechanisms for sensor nodes and edge devices.
• Collaborate with hardware, RF and software engineers to embed security from the ground up.
• Investigate real‑world attack attempts observed in field deployments.
• Monitor emerging threats relevant to autonomous defence systems and adapt defenses.

Required profile

• Strong background in cybersecurity or embedded/product security engineering.
• Experience securing embedded systems, IoT devices or communication protocols against real‑world attacks.
• Familiarity with encryption, secure boot and authentication mechanisms for hardware/firmware.
• Experience with threat modeling, penetration testing or red‑team exercises.
• Ability to work closely with hardware and RF engineers to secure end‑to‑end systems.
