About the role

Join Amazon Web Services' Data Center Operations team as a Data Center Technician Trainee in the Frankfurt area. This 12‑month work‑based learning program provides hands‑on experience supporting AWS data centers, with the goal of transitioning to a permanent role after successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist experienced AWS Data Technicians with hardware and network troubleshooting.
• Resolve internal tickets related to server components (Motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU) and networking issues (link down, optics, switch replacements).
• Perform hardware repairs and media (SSD/HDD) replacements under guidance.
• Follow AWS Data Technicians to troubleshoot network problems and meet SLA targets.
• Interact with third‑party vendors and contractors on‑site.

Required profile

• Motivated to learn data‑center operations and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting service‑level agreements.

Required skills

• Hardware troubleshooting (servers, motherboards, RAM, CPU, GPU).
• SSD/HDD replacement procedures.
• Network troubleshooting (link down, optics, switch replacement).
• Ticket resolution and SLA compliance.
• Interaction with vendors and contractors on site.
