Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Infrastructure

About the role

As the first dedicated Data Engineer at Bees & Bears, you will create the core data infrastructure that enables the company to scale reliably. You will turn fragmented data sources into a single source of truth that powers decisions across Risk, Finance, Product, and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines across all core systems.
• Develop and own the company data warehouse from the ground up.
• Integrate data from internal systems, APIs, and third‑party tools.
• Ensure data reliability, consistency, and accessibility for all teams.
• Define data ownership, naming conventions, and quality standards that can scale.

Required profile

• Strong SQL and Python skills with experience writing complex queries and automating workflows.
• Hands‑on experience building end‑to‑end data pipelines.
• Proven ability to design data warehouses and perform data modeling.
• Self‑starter who can build systems from scratch in a fast‑moving environment.
