Data Engineer

About the role

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and platforms that turn large volumes of structured and unstructured data into actionable insights. You will work on mission‑critical projects ranging from fraud detection to cancer research, collaborating with analysts, developers, and data consumers in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, operationalize, and support scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Design and maintain data platforms that ingest, parse, and transform diverse data sources.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Ensure data security and compliance, supporting projects that require Secret clearance.

Required profile

• 4+ years of application development experience.
• 4+ years designing and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale.
• 3+ years building scalable ETL/ELT workflows.
• Experience with both structured and unstructured data processing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
