Data Engineering Team Leader – AWS & AI

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Data Engineering Team Leader to design and scale AWS‑based data and AI platforms. The role combines technical delivery with people leadership, working closely with customers, architects and product teams to turn requirements into production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a small team of 3‑4 data engineers.
• Design, build and scale cloud‑native data platforms and AI systems on AWS.
• Develop and maintain large‑scale ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming services, APIs and analytics platforms.
• Drive implementation of modern AI and GenAI solutions, including intelligent agents and ML integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting and production support.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, observability and security of production environments.
• Promote engineering best practices such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, testing and monitoring.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience leading engineering or data‑engineering teams.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, backend engineering or cloud architecture.
• Proven ability to mentor technical staff and communicate effectively with customers.
• Strong execution mindset with a can‑do attitude.
