Digital Twin & Task Simulation Internship for Humanoid Robot

About the role

Join Bosch Group to develop a high‑fidelity digital twin for a humanoid robot. You will work on creating a realistic simulation environment that enables rapid testing of complex algorithms in a safe virtual world.

Key responsibilities

• Import the robot’s 3D model into a simulator such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Gazebo.
• Configure physics, sensors and build a virtual world for robot interaction.
• Implement a ROS bridge so the simulated robot can be controlled with the same software as the physical hardware.
• Validate the digital twin using a benchmark manipulation task.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Master program in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics or a comparable field with good academic standing.
• Motivated, independent and hands‑on with a strong passion for robotics and simulation.

Required skills

• Python programming
• PyTorch (Torch)
• Linux environment
• Familiarity with C++
• Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Experience with 3D modelling or game engines (Unity, Unreal) – advantageous
• Knowledge of robotics simulation tools such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim or Gazebo – advantageous
