Engineering Director – High‑Pressure Pump Solutions

About the role

The Engineering Director will lead the development of next‑generation, highly engineered‑to‑order high‑pressure pump solutions. This senior position combines strategic vision with hands‑on operational leadership to deliver innovative products on time, within budget, and in full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full lifecycle of high‑pressure ETO pump platforms from concept through market launch.
• Shape the product roadmap in line with business strategy, customer demand and emerging technologies.
• Act as senior technical authority for complex engineered solutions and critical design decisions.
• Lead engineering programmes with ownership of budgets, resources, timelines and performance metrics.
• Establish project governance, KPIs and execution frameworks to ensure successful outcomes.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with MRL, ATEX, PED, CE and other industry standards.
• Oversee technical documentation, certification processes and maintain audit readiness.
• Define patent and IP strategy, manage filings and freedom‑to‑operate reviews.
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with product management, operations, quality, supply chain and commercial teams.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in engineering, preferably within high‑pressure pump or related industrial sectors.
• Strong background in new product development and engineered‑to‑order solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets, resources and complex projects.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory and safety standards (MRL, ATEX, PED, CE).
• Experience driving innovation, patent strategy and intellectual‑property protection.
• Excellent communication skills to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
