Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a cross‑functional team within the Guest Experience department. You will drive the development of the list page that helps travellers discover and book holiday homes, working closely with product, design and other engineering squads.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of frontend and backend engineers, a project manager and a QA engineer to deliver high‑quality, scalable features.
• Define OKRs, roadmap and technical strategy in partnership with product management and stakeholders.
• Ensure the platform can handle up to 1 million unique users per day with high availability.
• Mentor team members, conduct performance reviews and recruit top talent.
• Collaborate with Ranking, Conqueror and Marketing teams to integrate machine‑learning models and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain and improve the micro‑services architecture on AWS Kubernetes (EKS).

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a fast‑moving, product‑focused environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines.
• Track record of delivering reliable, high‑traffic applications.

Required skills

• Frontend: Typescript, ReactJS, Zustand, TailwindCSS, NodeJS, Express.
• Backend: Java 17/21, Kotlin, Spring Boot.
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, Terraform.
• Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch 7, Redshift.
• DevOps & Monitoring: Jenkins, Git, ELK, Grafana, Looker, Opsgenie.
