Field Service Technician

About the role

As a Field Service Technician you will support the preparation, maintenance, testing and operation of specialised mechanical and electromechanical equipment used during nuclear power‑plant outages worldwide. You will work on‑site in nuclear facilities, collaborate closely with engineering teams and help validate and improve new technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain remote‑controlled equipment such as milling, drilling, Electric Discharge Machining and bolting systems.
• Commission and test newly designed equipment during outage periods.
• Support product and development engineers in parameter development, validation and troubleshooting.
• Install and configure software on control units, including network setup.
• Operate specialised equipment on‑site in nuclear power plants worldwide.
• Manufacture or modify electrical and mechanical components and assemble tooling.
• Collaborate with cross‑departmental and international teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a skilled worker/technician in a similar field.
• Basic computer knowledge, software installation and networking.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrotechnical aptitude.
• Ability to read technical documentation such as mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• English proficiency at least A2 (B1 preferred) and native‑level or C1/C2 proficiency in the local language.
• Problem‑solving mindset, teamwork and open communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work in outage environments.
