Finance Analyst – Business & Performance Controlling

About the role

As a Finance Analyst (f/m/d) – Business & Performance Controlling, you will own financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis and reporting for the Central & Northern Europe region. You will work closely with marketing, category and functional teams to turn financial data into actionable insights that support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, forecast and track marketing investments, overhead expenses and selected business categories across the region.
• Analyse performance against budget and forecast, identify drivers, risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations.
• Act as finance contact for Marketing, Category and Functional teams, evaluating initiatives and monitoring investment effectiveness.
• Coordinate monthly closing, forecasting and reporting activities, delivering timely insights for management reviews.
• Support annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring consistency of assumptions and plans.
• Prepare and present management materials, translating complex data into clear messages.
• Guide a working student and coordinate reporting, financial administration and controlling tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Controlling, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• First practical experience in Controlling, Finance or Accounting through internships, working‑student roles or an entry‑level position.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Collaborative, proactive working style and confidence to engage with stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP R/3 (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and planning tools.
