Finance & Controlling Trainee Program – Controlling Focus

About the role

Join BASF’s 18‑month Finance & Controlling trainee program in Limburgerhof, Germany. You will rotate through three six‑month assignments, gaining hands‑on experience in operational controlling, strategic controlling, innovation controlling, business evaluations, and digitalisation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Work on independent finance or controlling projects from day one.
• Rotate through three distinct assignment stations, each lasting six months.
• Collaborate with senior managers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Participate in an international assignment to develop intercultural competence.
• Take ownership of project delivery and initiate improvements.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field (Master, PhD, MBA).
• Minimum three‑month internship in Finance and/or Controlling.
• At least three months of experience abroad (study semester or internship).
• Maximum three years of professional work experience.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
