Financial Controller Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller Analyst to join our aluminium beverage can plant in Saarlouis, Germany. Reporting to the Plant Controller, you will work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment within a multinational organisation offering development opportunities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a strong internal controls framework and ensure compliance with internal policies and SOX.
• Prepare and post accounting entries in SAP S/4 HANA in line with company policies and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the European Shared Service Centre to post costs, manage credit limits, and follow up payments and overdue items.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, analyse variances against standard costs and guarantee the accuracy of COGS data.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and reporting using OneStream tools.
• Liaise with the Commercial Team on sales prices, contracts, rebate accruals and LME reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end closing activities, housekeeping of balance‑sheet accounts and identify process‑improvement opportunities, including automation.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in accounting, finance or audit within a commercial or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial control processes and SOX compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Fluent German and good command of English.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
