Financial Controller – DACH Region

About the role

We are seeking a senior finance professional to own finance operations across Germany, Switzerland and Austria for an international technology business. The role offers high visibility, autonomy and the chance to act as a trusted finance business partner to regional leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and own monthly management accounts, P&L reporting and balance sheets.
• Manage financial controls and ensure compliance across the DACH region.
• Oversee payroll for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• Handle cash‑flow management, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Support tax advisors and external accountants.
• Manage accounts receivable and perform financial reconciliations.
• Review and improve financial systems and processes.
• Act as a key finance business partner to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Desire for broader ownership beyond a traditional transactional finance role.
• Enjoys partnering with leadership and operational teams.
• Comfortable balancing detail‑orientation with commercial thinking.
• Strong accounting fundamentals with a passion for process improvement.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Qualified accountant status or equivalent experience.
• Experience in international or multi‑entity environments.
• Hands‑on approach combined with strong communication skills.
