Financial Controller – Governance & Reporting

About the role

As a Financial Controller for Governance & Reporting, you will ensure the new ABB Robotics organization complies with fiduciary, statutory and regulatory requirements across all relevant jurisdictions. You will maintain core governance structures, provide reliable financial analysis and support high‑quality business planning and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fiduciary and governance dashboards, ensuring robust internal controls.
• Support the CFO organization in financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Validate financial data and statutory submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with GBS Finance to define fiduciary obligations and deliver statutory reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors, providing required data and documentation.
• Act as primary liaison with tax authorities, managing communications and monitoring legislative changes.
• Prepare statutory GAAP reports in line with company policies and legal timelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit or Fiduciary/Statutory Reporting within industrial/technology/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Authorized to work in Germany.

• Advanced Excel capabilities.
