Flight Test Engineer & Onsite Test Coordinator

About the role

Stark is looking for a Flight Test Engineer who will also act as the Onsite Test Coordinator for our UAV flight‑test campaigns. Based in Berlin, you will lead the end‑to‑end test lifecycle, ensure safety, and turn raw flight data into actionable insights for our defence‑technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and lead daily flight‑test operations on the range.
• Conduct pre‑flight briefings, debriefings and maintain a clear daily flight schedule.
• Coordinate airframes, ground support equipment and personnel to maximise range utilisation.
• Execute UAV flight tests in compliance with regulatory and Stark safety standards.
• Develop flight test techniques, instrumentation requirements and hazard assessments.
• Lead Flight Readiness Reviews and contribute to safety review boards.
• Process and analyse flight data using MATLAB or Python to validate performance.
• Work with Ardupilot and PX4 flight‑control systems to iterate on flight behaviour.

Required profile

• Proven experience in UAV or aerospace flight testing.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and hazard assessment.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high‑tempo environment.
• Excellent communication skills for briefings and reporting.
