Group Procurement Director – Indirect

About the role

Quest Search and Selection is seeking a Group Procurement Director – Indirect to lead global indirect procurement for a large multinational client. You will shape strategy, build high‑performing teams and drive cost‑efficient, sustainable sourcing across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement global indirect procurement strategies and standards.
• Collaborate with procurement directors, business unit leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage supply and pricing risks, and align spend with long‑term goals.
• Develop and maintain a compliant global supplier base and strategic partnerships.
• Lead the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle from planning to supplier management.
• Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, legal, compliance and senior leadership.
• Communicate clearly across all organisational levels and inspire teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience at Head of or Director level in a group‑wide procurement function, preferably in retail or FMCG.
• Strong strategic thinking, decision‑making and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics procurement is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% and relocate if needed.
• Fluent in English and German.
