Head of Capital Formation / Partner – Institutional & Private Wealth

About the role

We are a London‑headquartered institutional private equity firm seeking a senior leader to own and drive our capital formation strategy. Based in Munich, you will build the investor franchise, lead fundraising activities, and earn a seat at the partnership table.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the full capital formation process, from LP targeting and roadshow planning to final close.
• Lead the investor relations and fundraising function, reporting directly to executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain relationships with pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, fund‑of‑funds, family offices, UHNWI and HNWI channels.
• Translate complex investment strategies into compelling narratives for sophisticated investors.
• Collaborate with senior partners to align fundraising efforts with the firm’s DeepTech/AI focus.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in institutional or private‑wealth fundraising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of securing capital commitments from large institutional investors.
• Deep network across pension funds, sovereign wealth, endowments, family offices and ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building or scaling a fundraising function.
• Executive‑level communication skills capable of simplifying complex strategies.
