Head of Supply Chain & Planning – Western Europe

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Supply Chain & Planning to lead our Western Europe operations. Based in Düsseldorf with regular travel to our Crailsheim distribution site, you will shape demand and supply planning across DACH and Benelux while supporting rapid growth and acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run a robust Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for Western Europe.
• Own end‑to‑end inventory and out‑of‑stock management, establishing clear escalation paths.
• Develop demand forecasts across multiple pet‑food brands, incorporating sales data, seasonality and market trends.
• Plan warehouse and frozen‑storage capacity ahead of seasonal peaks and network expansion.
• Integrate newly acquired brands into a unified planning system.
• Monitor and report supply‑chain KPIs (service level, stock cover, OOS rate) to senior leadership.
• Set standards for daily ordering, stock‑cover monitoring and act as escalation point for supplier issues.
• Maintain operational capability to step into hands‑on execution when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply chain planning or S&OP leadership, preferably in FMCG or pet‑food sectors.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to build processes from scratch.
• Track record of managing cross‑functional teams and driving continuous improvement.
