HR Generalist (VIE) – HR Business Partner

About the role

The VIE HR Generalist will act as the local HR Business Partner for a multinational company, linking the HR partner in Hamburg, local managers and the Paris head office. Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance, the role offers hands‑on responsibility for the full employee life‑cycle across recruitment, onboarding, training, compensation and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Support managers and approximately 40 employees on daily HR queries and ensure consistent application of HR policies.
• Participate in defining and executing local HR strategies including recruitment, onboarding, training plans, performance evaluations and compensation.
• Maintain basic HR reporting, workforce data and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Assist in training and development initiatives aligned with business needs and budget.
• Coordinate internal HR communications and collaborate on HR projects with headquarters and local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience in HR (internship or entry‑level) is appreciated.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation abilities.
• Fluent English; German at B2 level or willingness to learn daily.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
