Investment Banking Associate – Frankfurt

About the role

Jefferies is looking for a high‑performing Associate to join its Investment Banking team in Frankfurt. The role involves supporting M&A, capital markets and strategic advisory transactions for corporate and sponsor clients across Germany and the DACH region, offering significant client exposure from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A transactions from origination through closing.
• Build and review financial models, including valuation, merger, LBO and scenario analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials and information memoranda to a high professional standard.
• Coordinate due diligence processes with clients, legal advisors, accountants and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in drafting and negotiating transaction documentation.
• Contribute to business development through market mapping, company analysis and idea generation.
• Mentor and oversee Analysts, ensuring accuracy and development of junior talent.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions and client strategies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in investment banking and M&A advisory.
• Strong technical skills in financial analysis, valuation methodologies and accounting.
• Proven experience working on live transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
• Fluency in German and English.
