IT Security Project Manager / Consultant

About the role

NAXCON GmbH is seeking an IT Security professional to lead project‑management and consulting activities for public authorities in Rhineland‑Palatinate. The role focuses on standardising security concepts in line with the BSI IT‑Grundschutz framework and supporting the use of ISMS tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IT security concepts for authorities and public institutions.
• Manage information required for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) using the Fuentis AG tool or other BSI‑approved solutions.
• Coordinate with security officers to integrate changes in existing IT infrastructures.
• Ensure compliance with BSI IT‑Grundschutz standards across newly created and existing networks.
• Provide consulting support throughout the lifecycle of security projects.

Required profile

• Experience in IT security management for public sector environments.
• Familiarity with the BSI IT‑Grundschutz framework and ISMS processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple authorities.
• Strong analytical skills to translate security requirements into structured concepts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ISMS tools, especially the Fuentis AG solution.
• Knowledge of BSI IT‑Grundschutz standards.
• Understanding of operating system and cluster technologies relevant to security architectures.
