IT Service Desk Specialist

About the role

The IT Service Desk Specialist will be the first point of contact for internal users, ensuring that workplace technology runs smoothly across a large European financial services organisation. You will work in a collaborative environment that values professional development and supports hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, log and resolve IT incidents, service and change requests via phone, email and in‑person.
• Prioritise tickets, troubleshoot issues and resolve a high proportion directly.
• Escalate complex problems to 2nd‑line support when required.
• Support office relocation projects and infrastructure roll‑outs.
• Set up new workstations, configure desktops, laptops and related hardware.
• Install and maintain printers and other office technology.
• Assist with hardware lifecycle management and patch deployment.

Required profile

• Completed training as an IT specialist or comparable technical qualification.
• Experience in help‑desk or service‑desk environments.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Analytical, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple requests.
• Basic knowledge of ITIL concepts is a plus.
