Junior Software Engineer (m/f/d) – Munich

About the role

Join a technology‑focused taskforce that supports a large‑scale digital travel platform. You will work alongside senior technology leaders, gaining exposure to software development, IT strategy and business‑critical projects while contributing to process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance internal software systems and booking platforms.
• Support delivery of strategic IT projects across the travel technology division.
• Analyse existing processes, define KPIs and implement operational improvements.
• Gather, analyse and prepare technical and business information for senior stakeholders.
• Participate in innovation workshops and internal technology programmes.
• Collaborate with multiple technology teams across different business units.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business Informatics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Motivated self‑starter with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, C#, Golang or PHP.
• Experience or interest in AI‑assisted development tools.
• Understanding of Linux environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts.
