Legal Counsel

About the role

Teamed is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its legal function at a pivotal growth stage. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, you will own a broad portfolio that spans employment law, commercial contracts, data privacy, entity management, and cross‑border regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first‑responder on employment and labour law issues across multiple jurisdictions, covering hiring, terminations, benefits, misclassification and local compliance.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as MSAs, SLAs, DPAs, partnership and vendor contracts.
• Interpret data‑privacy legislation and AI Act requirements, collaborating with product teams to embed privacy‑by‑design.
• Advise on entity incorporation, management and ongoing compliance in various countries.
• Monitor legislative changes, translate them into actionable guidance, and maintain a legal knowledge base (templates, guides, policies, playbooks).
• Manage external counsel relationships to ensure quality output at controlled cost.
• Support the CLO on corporate transactions, investor activities and strategic initiatives.
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships so legal acts as an enabler, not a bottleneck.

Required profile

• UK or EU‑qualified lawyer with 5+ years post‑qualification experience and proven in‑house background.
• Deep expertise in employment and labour law across multiple jurisdictions (must‑have).
• Strong commercial instincts and ability to balance legal risk with business realities.
• Exceptional communication skills and a passion for making complex legal concepts clear.
• Fluent in English and German; additional European languages are a plus.
