Machine Learning Developer (Freelance)

About the role

Mindrift is seeking experienced machine‑learning specialists to work on project‑based AI challenges for leading tech companies. This freelance position involves designing and implementing computational STEM problems that simulate real scientific workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational problems that require Python programming to solve.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Develop problems that need non‑trivial reasoning chains and creative problem‑solving approaches.
• Verify solutions using Python with standard libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and scikit‑learn.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on machine‑learning experience with demonstrable business impact.
• Portfolio of completed projects or publications showcasing real‑world problem solving.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).

Required skills

• Python programming for data science.
• NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit‑learn, statsmodels.
• SQL and database operations.
• Experience with GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases).
• Understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain.
