Maintenance Supervisor – Hotel Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our hotel team in Berlin. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and the wider hotel staff, you will ensure that The Hoxton runs smoothly behind the scenes, providing a safe and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect hotel sites regularly to identify problems and required maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules, allocate work, and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
• Oversee maintenance operations, champion sustainability initiatives, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise, train and support maintenance workers, covering shifts as needed.
• Manage inventory, equipment storage, and conduct stock takes.
• Perform preventative maintenance, fault repairs, and general tasks such as installing locks, hinges, lighting, and connecting equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and follow‑up on all repair work to ensure timely completion.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training in Electrical, Plumbing, Building Services, or a related trade.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Electrician, or in a similar role.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and flexibility to work varying shifts.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
