Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centre Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager to lead mechanical works on live data centre projects across Europe. The role involves site management, coordination of subcontractors, and ensuring delivery of mechanical packages safely, on time, and to client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction activities on data centre projects throughout Europe.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, site teams, and specialist vendors.
• Oversee installation of mechanical systems in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Support delivery of pipework, cooling systems, ventilation, containment, plantrooms and related building services.
• Review drawings, technical documentation, RAMS and installation plans.
• Monitor site progress, report updates, and identify programme risks, clashes and delays.
• Plan daily site coordination, including labour, access, materials, sequencing and interface management.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, conduct site walks, quality checks and progress inspections.
• Support QA/QC processes, snagging, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, main contractors and internal project teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience in mechanical construction or site management.
• Previous experience on data centre projects is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage programme, quality, safety and day‑to‑day site delivery.
• Good understanding of RAMS, permits, site safety and construction best practice.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
