Mechanical Lead – Data Centre Project

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Lead to join a high‑profile data centre project in Munich. You will be responsible for delivering the mechanical package from installation through to handover, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site safety in collaboration with the project team and Safety Advisor, including set‑up and closure of the safety file.
• Lead a team of engineers and supervisors, coordinating with other disciplines to avoid impacts or delays.
• Oversee mechanical QA, schedule, and cost control (labour, material, plant, variations, valuations).
• Direct day‑to‑day site operations and subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower.
• Maintain and close out all project documentation: safety file, QA file, O&M manuals, punch lists, final account, and project plan.
• Produce weekly internal progress and safety reports, highlighting risks, delays, and commercial variations.
• Hold regular commercial meetings to capture variations and ensure KPI achievement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical packages on large construction or data‑centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of site safety regulations and QA procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to drive teams, resolve issues promptly and deliver on schedule and budget.
