Medical Lead

About the role

As the Medical Lead at dehaze, you will serve as the primary clinical authority for an AI platform that predicts chronic disease risk from existing health data. Working closely with the CEO, CTO, and Chief Scientific Officer, you will ensure that the technology meets rigorous medical standards and gains credibility with regulators, health insurers, and the broader medical community.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the clinical gatekeeper, reviewing AI‑generated risk predictions for medical plausibility before release.
• Validate data normalization pipelines to confirm that diagnoses, lab values, medications, and procedures retain their clinical meaning after transformation.
• Build and maintain reference (“golden”) datasets with clinically verified ground truth for model benchmarking.
• Design and oversee validation studies, define outcome measures, and establish academic partnerships to co‑publish findings.
• Represent dehaze’s clinical credibility in meetings with chief medical officers, medical directors, and other health‑network stakeholders.
• Advise product teams on medical requirements, shaping the clinical roadmap and prioritizing features based on impact and business value.
• Define patient‑safety guardrails, flag edge cases, and ensure all outputs meet the highest standards of clinical integrity.

Required profile

• Board‑certified physician or equivalent with substantial clinical experience (residency, years of practice, or advanced training).
• Proven ability to interpret labs, diagnose conditions, and make decisions under uncertainty.
• Experience beyond bedside care, demonstrating analytical thinking and commercial awareness.
