Mission Systems Equipment Design Lead (d/f/m)

About the role

As the Equipment Design Responsible you will act as the technical authority for airborne mission‑system equipment throughout its full lifecycle. You will translate operational and system‑level requirements into robust, certifiable equipment solutions while collaborating with international suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical responsibility for airborne mission‑system equipment from concept through in‑service support.
• Prepare and validate equipment technical specifications and contractual documents.
• Manage supplier relationships, including technical evaluation, design follow‑up, qualification, milestone tracking and acceptance of deliverables.
• Review technical solutions, challenge design decisions when needed, and support issue resolution during development and integration.
• Ensure compliance with aeronautical standards and certification requirements such as DO‑254.

Required profile

• Proven experience in equipment design for airborne or defence applications.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, requirement allocation and certification processes.
• Ability to work with international suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
