Network & Security Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to take full ownership of our IT infrastructure, operations, and information security in Germany. Based in Frankfurt or Munich, you will ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT services while supporting business continuity in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise the IT Helpdesk and support structure, ensuring high service quality.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure, including network, systems, endpoints and SaaS applications.
• Define and improve monitoring, incident response and escalation processes; lead root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take responsibility for information security at the country level, implementing security standards and GDPR compliance.
• Manage access control, data protection and coordinate security incident response.
• Maintain stable and secure network operations across offices and operational sites, managing servers, endpoints and network devices.
• Lead and develop IT operations and security teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders, HQ teams and external vendors.
• Manage IT‑related projects, budgets and service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations and/or IT security.
• Proven experience leading teams and handling infrastructure and security responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, networks and high‑availability environments.
• Solid knowledge of GDPR and information‑security best practices.
• Fluent in German and Chinese; English is a plus.
