Physician Lead – Near Patient Program (Germany)

About the role

International SOS is seeking a Physician Lead to head the Near Patient Program for U.S. Military beneficiaries in Germany. This senior medical position blends clinical expertise with strategic leadership, working closely with U.S. Military medical command, German healthcare providers, and International SOS teams to improve care delivery across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and shape healthcare delivery for the Near Patient Program in Germany.
• Act as the senior clinical voice for operational and strategic healthcare decisions.
• Serve as the primary liaison between International SOS, U.S. Military medical command, and German healthcare partners.
• Mentor, guide, and develop physicians and clinical teams, including Near Patient Physicians.
• Identify barriers to care, implement solutions, and ensure quality oversight and governance.
• Build trusted relationships with military medical leaders, hospital physicians, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Board‑certified physician with extensive clinical experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in complex, cross‑border or military healthcare environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within Germany to engage with partners and support program delivery.
