Plant Controller

About the role

The Plant Controller is responsible for delivering financial transparency and strategic insight to support a fast‑paced automotive manufacturing plant. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control and reporting activities, ensuring alignment with both plant operations and corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and monthly financial reviews for the plant.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial reports in line with internal and group standards.
• Conduct detailed cost analyses of manufacturing activities, identifying savings and performance variances.
• Provide real‑time cost and performance data to operations teams to aid decision‑making.
• Monitor productivity metrics and collaborate with operational leads on continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance financial tools and processes in SAP, ensuring data integrity.
• Support financial audits and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Manage and mentor one direct report within the plant finance team.
• Partner with plant operations, supply chain and regional finance for integrated decision‑making.

Required profile

• 5+ years of financial controlling experience, preferably in automotive or Tier‑1 manufacturing.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic leader comfortable working cross‑functionally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Fluent in English and German.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules preferred).
• Strong Microsoft Excel modeling and analytical capabilities.
