Postdoctoral Researcher & Lecturer in International Politics

About the role

The University of Konstanz seeks a motivated post‑doctoral researcher who will also serve as a lecturer in International Politics. The position is part of the Chair of “International Politics – Global Inequality” and the Cluster of Excellence “The Politics of Inequality”. It starts on 1 October 2026 and runs for four years.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and master‑level courses in International Politics (4 SWS per week).
• Supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.
• Provide administrative support to the chair’s working group.
• Develop and pursue independent research projects aligned with the cluster’s focus on inequality.

Required profile

• Excellent PhD in political science or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience in international politics.
• Proven university teaching experience.
• Clear independent research agenda.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Quantitative methodological expertise (advantageous).
