About the role

Join 1KOMMA5°'s tech team to drive the energy transition by designing scalable product logic and automated workflows that power the company's growth in the solar and heat‑pump market.

Key responsibilities

• Define the operational backbone of energy products (tariffs, flexibility services) to handle mass volumes from day one.
• Translate complex regulatory frameworks (e.g., §14a EnWG, Stromsteuer) into clear logical requirements for product owners and engineers.
• Architect fully automated loops for core utility processes such as market communication and billing validation.
• Set technical and procedural standards for interaction with traditional players (DSOs, TSOs) to ensure seamless integration.
• Partner with product managers during discovery to identify regulatory or process constraints and design scalable workarounds.

Required profile

• 7+ years at the intersection of energy economics and product/process design, preferably in a digital utility or energy software provider.
• Deep understanding of German and international energy market design, including regulatory policies (EnWG, MsbG).
• Systematic, logic‑first mindset with the ability to break down chaotic requirements into executable system rules.
• Strong communication skills across product, tech, and energy domains, fluent in English and German.
