Procurement Specialist

About the role

Proxima Fusion is building the world’s first commercial stellarator fusion power plant and needs a Procurement Specialist to create a robust, agile supply chain that fuels its engineering and R&D ambitions. You will partner with top‑tier suppliers, shape sourcing strategies, and ensure high standards of quality, cost, and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute procurement strategies for professional services, technical consulting, engineering support and research agreements.
• Identify, assess and onboard new suppliers while strengthening relationships with existing vendors.
• Lead commercial negotiations for service agreements, statements of work, framework agreements and manage associated risks.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle for services, from request intake to contract execution, renewals and performance tracking.
• Drive improvements in procurement infrastructure, including systems, databases, AI adoption and process automation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, finance, legal and operations teams to align procurement decisions with technical and commercial goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supplier management.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience handling end‑to‑end procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
