Product Analyst

About the role

Join StepStone Group’s Product Analytics team to answer product and business questions with data, turning insights into actionable recommendations that shape product decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product teams to define, monitor, and investigate KPIs, delivering deep‑dive analyses that explain user behavior and product performance.
• Support product discovery through opportunity sizing, hypothesis generation, experiment design, and A/B test execution and analysis.
• Own data foundations by writing and refining behavioral tracking specifications, validating event capture, and collaborating with data teams on sourcing and transformation.
• Build and maintain dashboards and analytical outputs using tools such as Adobe Analytics, Power BI, and Python, and communicate insights with clear visual storytelling.
• Leverage AI tooling to increase efficiency in code generation, dataset exploration, documentation drafting, and summarising qualitative feedback.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in product or data analytics, with a track record of end‑to‑end analytical problem solving.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python for analysis and automation.
• Experience with product analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
• Hands‑on experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, solid statistical knowledge, and meticulous data validation.
• Clear communicator able to tailor data visualisation and storytelling to diverse audiences.
