Product Engineer / Builder

About the role

Tacto is looking for a Product Engineer / Builder to own the analytics product that turns messy procurement data into actionable savings opportunities for industrial companies. You will work at the intersection of AI, data engineering and user‑facing interfaces, helping manufacturers make smarter purchasing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship the end‑to‑end analytics engine that processes millions of rows of spend and supplier data.
• Implement AI‑driven features such as anomaly detection, opportunity scoring and agentic workflows.
• Build customer‑facing UI flows in React/Next.js that feel like a modern CRM.
• Identify high‑impact problems, align stakeholders and drive solutions to revenue without waiting for a formal PRD.
• Collaborate closely with product, data and design teams to ensure fast, high‑quality releases.

Required profile

• Strong engineers of any seniority level who are deeply immersed in AI tools and care about outcomes over code aesthetics.
• Experience shipping production software in a B2B SaaS or data‑heavy product environment.
• Comfortable working with modern AI assistants (e.g., Claude, Codex, agents) to accelerate development.
• Ability to think in domain concepts such as suppliers, materials, contracts and indices.
