Project Engineer

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Non‑Destructive Testing & Special Product Department. You will drive the development of new processes and equipment from concept through field implementation, supporting the company’s mission of delivering carbon‑free nuclear energy worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, plan and execute development projects, applying tools to reduce inefficiencies and optimise performance.
• Manage project controls including scope, schedule, cost, risk and integrated change control.
• Prepare cost forecasts, progress evaluations and earned‑value reports for financial reporting.
• Coordinate communications with team members, customers and stakeholders to keep all parties informed.
• Maintain project databases and documentation systems for efficient information flow.
• Close projects by archiving financial, scheduling and resource data.
• Identify improvement opportunities, lessons learned and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support offer development with technical descriptions, cost estimates and scheduling.
• Interface with supply‑chain, invoicing, accounting, sales and quality organisations.
• Lead project lifecycles from proposal to implementation, developing detailed execution plans.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and report directly to the department head.
