Project Manager – Space & Life Science Projects

About the role

YURI is looking for a Project Manager to lead the development of microgravity research facilities and experiments, with a focus on life‑science applications. You will coordinate both agency‑contracted and commercial projects that may fly to the International Space Station or other space platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the accountable project lead for all development phases, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Support system‑engineering and MAIT activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage resources and align them across the company to meet project needs.
• Represent projects in front of customers and conduct reviews such as PDR, CDR and FAR for agencies like ESA, DLR and NASA.
• Lead negotiations, contract administration and opportunity management (CCNs).
• Prepare and deliver internal and external project reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects, preferably with space‑agency contracts (ESA, DLR, NASA).
• Ability to identify synergies and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Fluent English and at least elementary German.
• Logical, pragmatic thinking with strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Goal‑oriented, analytical mindset combined with empathy and low ego.
