Project Material Controller / Storeperson

About the role

MSL Engineering Ltd., a mechanical engineering contractor, is looking for a Project Material Controller to join its team in Dresden, Germany. The role focuses on receiving, inspecting, and managing plant and machinery deliveries while ensuring material availability for project progress.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect plant and machinery deliveries.
• Verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders, and update inventory using computerized software.
• Scan, file, and maintain all delivery documentation.
• Report overages, shortages, and damage to purchasing and relevant engineering teams.
• Update the plant schedule with tag numbers and storage locations.
• Maintain daily contact with field supervisors and engineers to ensure material availability.
• Obtain site sign‑off for delivered items and keep records of material request forms.
• Manage project logistics from supplier to on‑site off‑loading, ensuring compliance with EHS standards.
• Organise storage, monitor distribution across the project, and control site deliveries.
• Report weekly to the purchasing team on all materials received.

Required profile

• Previous stores or inventory experience (advantage).
• Knowledge of mechanical processes, especially pipe and fittings (advantage).
• Valid work permit or visa for Germany.
