Real Estate Expert – Capital Projects & Transactions (EMEA)

About the role

As a Real Estate Expert for Capital Projects & Transactions, you will lead and execute national and international real estate transactions across the EMEA region. You will work closely with senior management to ensure every acquisition, disposal, lease negotiation and property valuation aligns with BASF’s corporate real‑estate strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end real‑estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, lease negotiations, lettings and valuations.
• Coordinate cross‑regional real‑estate projects with a focus on headquarters requirements.
• Steer external consultants, brokers, property managers and other service providers.
• Negotiate commercial, lease, purchase and service agreements.
• Conduct financial analyses and property valuations, preparing decision papers for senior management.
• Maintain high‑quality real‑estate data, reporting, portfolio documentation and KPI monitoring.
• Identify value‑creation opportunities and support long‑term occupancy, investment and workplace strategies.

Required profile

• Completed Master’s degree in real‑estate management or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration with additional real‑estate qualifications.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in corporate or commercial real‑estate, asset management, transactions or capital projects in an international environment.
• Fluent German and English.
