Real Estate Manager – Sustainable Building Referent

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Real Estate Manager – Sustainable Building Referent to support the Real Estate Master Plan team at its Hamburg production site. The role will drive the deployment of the Sustainable Building Referential (SBR) and embed sustainability criteria into all new construction, major refurbishment, lease and acquisition decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct SBR assessments for a portfolio of 50+ industrial, logistics and office projects each year.
• Provide technical recommendations to CapEx multi‑functional teams to balance environmental impact, cost and operational efficiency.
• Support project teams from design through delivery to ensure compliance with the SBR methodology.
• Coordinate with internal service lines, corporate sustainability teams and external partners such as design offices, contractors and brokers.
• Manage performance and deliverables of external SBR consulting firms and assist the SBR project leader.
• Create synthetic views and benchmarks to share best practices across the company.
• Propose and implement process improvements and report KPIs to management.

Required profile

• Experience in real estate or facility management with a focus on sustainability.
• Strong project‑management capabilities across construction and refurbishment projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
