Renewals & Retention Asset Director – Northern Europe

About the role

The Renewals & Retention Asset Director for Northern Europe will oversee a rolling three‑year portfolio of hotel contracts across Premium, Midscale and Economy brands (excluding France and the Mediterranean). Based in Munich or London, you will drive proactive asset management to minimise churn and maximise long‑term portfolio value.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a 3‑year view of contract expiries and exit risks, developing action plans with Operations and Development teams.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of asset performance, risk, CAPEX, brand fit and owner relationships.
• Lead negotiation phases, presenting renewal scenarios such as dry renewals, key‑money, fee ramps, rebranding or exit clauses.
• Prepare property improvement plans, term sheets and coordinate with legal and DTS teams.
• Ensure alignment of stakeholders (Ops, Dev, Finance, Go‑to‑Market, etc.) on asset strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in hotel development, asset management or corporate hospitality operations.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, owner economics and investment metrics.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
