Research Technician – Full-time (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Research Technician to join our QIMA Monasterium laboratory in Münster. Working under the supervision of a Project Officer, you will provide technical support for pre‑clinical and clinical skin and hair research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hair follicle and skin organ culture, tissue fixation, and embedding.
• Prepare cryo and paraffin sections and carry out immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence staining.
• Operate light microscopy, capture images and conduct image analysis using BZ‑Analyzer, BZ viewer and ImageJ.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, plan equipment and consumable needs, and ensure stock levels.
• Participate in scientific lab meetings and help organise workshops.

Required profile

• Completed training as a Medical/Biological‑technical assistant or an honours bachelor degree in a relevant field.
• Good knowledge of English (company language).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Immunohistochemistry and routine histology.
• Hair follicle and skin organ culture techniques.
• Microscopy (immunofluorescence, light microscopy).
• Image analysis software (ImageJ, BZ‑Analyzer, BZ viewer).
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
