Retail Store Manager – Sales & Operations (Germany)

About the role

Our client, a leading retail company in Germany, is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, lead a sales team, and drive commercial performance across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day store operations ensuring smooth performance and brand consistency.
• Lead, train, and motivate the retail sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues professionally.
• Monitor stock levels, product displays, pricing, and visual merchandising.
• Handle cash, POS systems, reporting, and basic administrative tasks.
• Track KPIs, analyse results and implement improvements.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and staff scheduling as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health‑and‑safety standards and retail procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail sales, shop or store management.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Good understanding of retail KPIs, sales targets and customer‑service standards.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Hands‑on attitude with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent German preferred; English is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on‑site, including weekends or peak periods.
