Security Engineer (m/f/d) – Data Security & Cloud

About the role

We are looking for a Security Engineer who will help our customers secure data across cloud environments and intelligent data products. You will work in a cross‑functional Scrum team, collaborating with data engineers, software engineers and analysts to embed security by design.

Key responsibilities

• Research, analyse and justify data‑security related risks and propose mitigation solutions.
• Implement security techniques, standards and threat‑modeling practices for cloud (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) applications.
• Support customers in achieving data‑security compliance for sectors such as mobility, automotive, industrial and finance.
• Define threat models, capture vulnerabilities and design remediation measures.
• Assist internal and external stakeholders in making secure technology decisions.

Required profile

• Strong background in software security and threat modelling.
• Experience with security‑by‑design principles.
• Proficiency in Python and C#; knowledge of C++ and Java is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, version control (Git) and knowledge‑management tools (Confluence).
• German language skills are a plus.
